Park Sungmin focuses on the essential characteristics of visual perception and the nature of light through the visual reconstruction of analog and digital images. Park is interested in the point where the boundary between light and image becomes ambiguous, where the two overlap. He reveals the image’s inherent abstraction and openness which emerge within the extinction of optical information by intentionally manipulating digital artifacts.
